About us

Department of Medicinal Chemistry as one of the branches of School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Hebei Medical University was found in 1972. We have 11 faculties, including one professor, 7 associate professors and 3 lecturers. All faculties have Ph.D. degrees, and two of us studied overseas. We undertake the theoretical and experimental teaching tasks of Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Drug Design, Drug Synthesis Reaction, Principles of Chemical Engineering and Computer-aided Drug Design. Besids, the optional course of Drug Synthesis Reaction for undergraduates and the optional course of New Drug Development and Modernization Research for graduate students are offered. Each year we mentor 9~12 graduates students and 10~15 undergraduate interns. In recent five years, we have accomplished 6 national scientific projects, 6 provincial scientific projects, 5 departmental- scientific projects, and 5 enterprise projects. More than 20 academic papers were published on journals, among which 14 articles were catalogued by the SCI. We also have 11 authorized invention patents, and one Hebei Province Prize for Progress in Science and Technology.
