Department of Pharmaceutical Analysis was founded in 1981. It is responsible for a variety of theoretical and experimental courses for undergraduate and postgraduate students majoring in pharmaceutical categories, clinical pharmacy and traditional Chinese medicine. The courses include Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Spectroscopic Analysis, Chromatographic Analysis, Biopharmaceutical Analysis, Chinese Medicine Analysis, Biological Products Analysis, Food Analysis and Safety Verification. In addition, the department undertakes the scientific research skills development of undergraduates and internship of graduates.

    ‘Student-oriented’ is core teaching conception of Department of Pharmaceutical Analysis. Pharmaceutical Analysis was awarded as the excellent course of Hebei Medical University in 1997 and was rated as provincial excellent course in Hebei Province in 2003. Analytical Chemistry was awarded as the excellent course of Hebei Medical University in 2010. Moreover, the department participated in compilation of more than 20 relevant textbooks and works.

    Department of Pharmaceutical Analysis strives for innovation in academic research and has made rapid progress in the fields of drug quality control, pharmacokinetics, TCM analysis, etc. In the past three years, the department presided 4 National Natural Science Foundation projects and 8 provincial-level projects, and published more than 100 scientific research papers, among which more than 70 were included by SCI.
